Why Should You
Mulch? |
| To help keep shrubbery and flower beds healthy
and attractive, protect them with a layer of mulch after the soil warms. It can
help retain moisture and prevent weeds, as well as insulating plants from
temperature extremes. Don't mulch too deep -- more than 2 - 4" is too much.
Mulch also can help water penetrate the soil better and moderates soil
temperature extremes, which encourages healthy rooting. |
